“Whole-nature shapes first sprang up from the earth, having a portion of both water and heat. These fire sent up, wishing to come to its like: they did not yet display the desirable form of limbs nor voice, which is the part proper to men.”

A Selected Project: Characters Across the Country
The United States has grown to become an incredibly large and diverse country with an array of different people and cultures. The intention of Characters Across the Country is to capture this diversity to help citizens get to see and know their fellow Americans. Through the sharing of a simple portrait and quote from the character, my hope is that this project will leverage our humanness to grow a more connected sense of citizenship. Every month, a new character is showcased on the Facebook page, so please like our page to get to know your fellow American!

Lafayette Initiative for Malagasy Education (LIME)
The Lafayette Initiative for Malagasy Education is a peer-to-peer mentoring program between Lafayette students and students in Madagascar attending Lycee Andohalo, a public high school in Antananarivo. I was fortunate to be one of ten Lafayette students selected to participate in the program for a year and a half. Through this experience, I have gained Malagasy friends, gleaned further development understandings, and even was able to apply my passion for additive manufacturing by printing LIME graduation rings for our participants (see right). A video that I made of our travel to Madagascar that can be seen below:
A Selected Short Film: Two Across America
With one of my best friends, Taaha Mohamedali, we traveled across America from Easton, Pennsylvania to Los Angeles, California to see friends and experience the U.S. Applying my passion for cinematography, we made this film:
A Selected Event: UNITE Lafayette
With a concern for some comments that were made towards particular religious groups on social media, I worked with a fellow classmate Sara Mikovic to create an event called UNITE Lafayette. The programming gave certain religious groups on campus a day where they would have representatives in Lafayette's student center available to have conversations and answer questions on their beliefs (see the flyer .pdf below).
